More than 130 new and veteran FLL coaches attended an FLL Coaches meeting sponsored by Texas Disposal Systems on October 3, 2015 at Rolling Meadows Elementary in San Antonio.
Ms. Stacy Schmitt and Mr. Ryan Beard gave a great thought provoking and interactive presentation on how Texas Disposal Systems (TDS) manages and recycles consumer and commercial waste. After the presentation, coaches and students got the opportunity to ask questions of Mr. Beard and a lot of ideas were shared for FLL Research projects this season. TDS has also offered tours of their facilities for all interested coaches and teams in the region.
On November 7th, the Alamo Region will hold another day of workshops to include the FLL, FTC & FRC programs. The workshops will be held at UTSA. Information on the workshops will be posted on the FIRST in Texas website (http://firstintexas.org/eventregistration/calendar/)
