A Strategic Alliance: FIRST in Texas and Texas Robotics
Over the past two years, FIRST in Texas and the University of Texas – Austin have forged a powerful alliance, seeking strategic alignments to create seamless transitions for our high school graduates into higher education. We are thrilled to announce a remarkable milestone in our collaboration: 40% of the total enrollment in the Texas Robotics program now consists of alumni from FIRST in Texas teams. This statistic is a testament to the passion, dedication, and skills that our participants bring to their educational pursuits.
Our commitment to nurturing young talent is stronger than ever, and to further this cause, the University of Texas – Austin and FIRST in Texas are excited to host an upcoming town hall in January, 2025. This event is designed for our FIRST Tech Challenge and FIRST Robotics Competition teams across Texas. It will be an excellent opportunity for potential students to learn more about the Texas Robotics program, explore the diverse educational pathways available, and engage directly with faculty through a live Q&A session.
Stay tuned for more details about this event, and rest assured, our professional collaboration will continue to thrive, creating more avenues for our participants to shine in their post-high school careers.
“Together with the University of Texas, we are not just creating pathways; we are paving them with opportunities that challenge, inspire, and propel our students toward futures filled with innovation and success.” said Jason Arms, the FIRST in Texas Executive Director.
We encourage our community to remain engaged, informed, and excited about the opportunities that lie ahead. The future is bright for our students, and We Build Stronger Together in Texas.
