What does it take to be a highly sought after employee candidate?

A. Is it technical skills and specialized knowledge?
B. Is it a high GPA?
C. Is it the people you know?
D. All of the above

Depending on the job and workforce path you embark on, the answer to these questions could be any and all of the options above.

However, the skills that aren’t listed and the ones we are focusing on today are essential skills, soft skills and emotional intelligence, could make all the difference in your career path and the trajectory your career takes. Essential skills also called “soft skills” is something that FIRST program participants are familiar with. It’s the ‘more than robots’ part of the equation.
