FIRST LEGO League (FLL) consists of three program levels: FLL- Discover (FLL-D), Explore (FLL-E), and Challenge FLL-C). FLL is the largest program for the FIRST in Texas organization. The FLL program has six regions: Central, East, North, Panhandle, South, and West areas of Texas. For the 2022 – 2023 FLL-C SuperPowered season, FIRST in Texas had over 1,200 teams registered and participated in 43 events.

FLL-C has three levels of competition events: Local Area Qualifiers, Regional Area Tournaments, and a State Championship. This season the FLL-C program will receive one golden ticket to the FIRST World Festival in Houston, Texas, in April 2023 at the George R. Brown Convention Center.

Therefore, FIRST in Texas FLL will host its first annual statewide championship at Stafford High School in Stafford, Texas. 56 teams that have advanced from their Regional Area Tournaments will attend the FIRST in Texas State Championship, and the overall winner will advance to the World Festival.
