Field Details:
Please note that the fields will be on carpet or Masonite depending on final configuration of the event

Teams are expected to bring their own 50′ extension cord to connect to our power breakout locations. Remember to include tape to secure the cable to the floor.
We will not be providing chairs for the pit. It is recommended that teams bring some foldable chairs if they need pit seating.
Registration Fee:
Teams attending UIL will pay $300.00/ea. Teams invited to this event can register at: https://store.firstintexas.org/eventtx/ftc-uil-state-competition-2025
To compete at this event, you will need to follow the steps in FIRST in Texas – How to Register for Advancing Events.pdf and complete the payment requested by April 30th.
UIL Event Attendance Guidelines
Since UIL invitations are school-based rather than strictly team-based, you are welcome to bring students from any of your teams to the event, as long as:
-
- Every attending student is a full-time student at your school.
- The majority of the students attending are high school students.
Consent and Release Requirements:
All coaches, students, and volunteers are required to complete the FIRST in Texas Consent and Releases in order to attend this event.
If you compete in North, South, Central, or West and have turned in a FiT and FIRST roster at previous events, you are not required to bring one for this event. If you have not turned in any Rosters yet this season, please have your team members (parents must fill out for students under 18) and attendees coming with your teams fill out: FIRST in Texas Consent and Releases. Once this is completed, please email emily.demille@firstintexas.org for the next steps.
Since your FTC teams do not typically compete at FIRST in Texas events we are asking that you have all team members (parents must fill out for students under 18) and attendees coming with your teams fill out: FIRST in Texas Consent and Releases. Once this is completed, please email emily.demille@firstintexas.org for the next steps.
Safety:
Teams are required to bring their own safety glasses / side shields, wear closed toe and heel shoes and be prepared to secure any hair or jewelry that may become in contact with moving parts of the robot. Participants / Coaches are expected to follow any safety directions signs and instructions by FIRST in Texas volunteers / staff while onsite. Safety FIRST in Texas!
PLEASE NOTE: We are asking that teams do not bring Latex balloons and avoid utilizing other latex products.
Tech Notice:
Teams are expected to have the latest version of software on control systems and all devices set to AUTO for channel assignments. We will be looking for this during your field inspection. Reminder, NO personal hotspots. We will be actively tracking down interference and those offenders not following instructions will be asked to leave.
