FIRST in Texas is excited to begin the transition to the District Competition Model for the FIRST® Robotics Competition 2018-2019 season. We are currently looking to partner with schools, organizations, and groups to host venue sites for District events.
For those of you who are new to the program, FIRST® is a not-for-profit public organization designed to inspire young people’s interest and participation in science and technology, and to motivate them to pursue education and career opportunities in STEM fields. FIRST® engages kids in kindergarten through high school in exciting, mentor-based, research and robotics programs and competitions that help them become science and technology leaders, as well as well-rounded contributors to society. High School FIRST® Robotics Competition teams will be competing in the new District Model Competitions. For more information about FIRST®, visit www.firstinspires.org
