We are actively seeking a permanent Executive Director to lead FIRST in Texas, a high-impact STEM education nonprofit that currently serves over 40,000 students. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly relational, dynamic, and mission-aligned leader who is passionate about advancing STEM education, particularly for underserved communities and youth across Texas.
The Executive Director will play a crucial role in driving the expansion of the organization’s reach and impact statewide. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, this leader will develop and execute strategies that significantly increase FIRST in Texas’s influence and success, ensuring that more students gain access to economic opportunities and STEM careers.
Key responsibilities will include building strong, trusted relationships with volunteers, partners, and stakeholders who are critical to our work; cultivating and stewarding the necessary financial resources to fuel growth; overseeing the development of new programming, and ensuring the effective implementation of our current offerings. Additionally, the Executive Director will help shape the organization’s long-term vision and direction for the future.
