2022 -2023 Season Information

Welcome to all of the new and returning teams to the 2022 – 2023 SuperPowered season.
FIRST® in Texas is the now the FIRST® LEGO League Program delivery partner for the Explore and Challenge programs in the Central, East, North, Panhandle, and South regions. These combined regions will now be known as Texas FIRST® LEGO League.

FIRST® in Texas will now host an annual FIRST® LEGO League – Challenge (FLL-C) State Championship. This season’s event will take place on March 18, 2022, at Stafford High School in Stafford Texas. This will serve as the new advancement event to the FIRST® World Festival in April 2023 in Houston Texas for Texas FLL-C teams.

Each FIRST® LEGO League – Explore (FLL-E) team will be entered into a lottery to attend FIRST® World
Festival. Teams MUST be an official registered FIRST® LEGO League – Explore team and attend an official local FLL-E event to be entered unto the lottery.

Thanks to BPx Energy for sponsoring Texas FIRST® Teams for a second season. This grant will allow rural teams for start new teams in Angelina, Culbertson, Karnes, Lasalle, Loving, Nacogdoches, Reeves, and San Augustine counties.

Latest Grants Information

Award notifications for Round 1 went out on September 30th! If you were awarded a grant, please make sure to submit any additional forms that were requested to ensure that your grant check is mailed by Friday, October 28th.

If you were not awarded a grant, your application is open for editing. Please update if there have been any changes to your team. Your application will be reviewed for the second round of awards.  You do not need to submit a new application.

We encourage teams in all regions to apply since more opportunities can become available. There are two more rounds, with the second round closing October 21st. Please see the Grant Calendar for more information.
