FIRST Tech Challenge Teams at the Best Buy Teen Tech Center in Austin

Austin, Texas – FIRST in Texas, in collaboration with the YMCA’s Best Buy Teen Tech Center®, is proud to announce a new space for FIRST Tech Challenge teams in Austin. Teams can now build, network, and test their robots every Thursday from 4 PM to 6 PM starting November 1, 2024 at the newly opened North Austin YMCA facility. FIRST in Texas has graciously provided a field perimeter and game elements for the #INTOTHEDEEP season.

This partnership is about more than just robotics; it’s about creating safe spaces, expanding resources in communities, and promoting sustainability for STEM education. By working with organizations that share our commitment to the future of Texas students, we build a stronger, more resilient future together.

The Best Buy Teen Tech Center offers teens ages 12-18 a modern, technology-driven environment where they can learn valuable life skills, explore cutting-edge technology, and discover career pathways. This collaboration between FIRST in Texas and the YMCA ensures our teams have access to vital resources while nurturing future business and STEM leaders.
