Apply for available grants from statewide partners with one application.

Each of the grantors supporting the grants managed by FIRST in Texas has their own targets and goals for their funding and by completing our application, your team will be considered for all grants for which your team is eligible.

Available Grants From FIRST in Texas

Texas Workforce Commission

FTC / FRC High school (State-wide)

Supports Teams across the state comprised of High School students. WIth priority to teams that are underserved and underrepresented populations, come from Title 1 schools, qualify for free or reduced lunch, have disabilities, are home schooled, or attend a school that serves a military base. members (9-12).

Texas Active Rookie Partnership (TARP) Grant

FRC (State-wide)

This is a two year mentorship grant that supports any veteran Texas FRC team in at least their 4th year. Teams that have previously not participated in the TARP Program will receive priority for participation in the event of more teams applying for the program than can be supported.The Rookie team must meet FIRST headquarters’ definition of a Rookie team . If a Rookie team is from the same school/organization or has shared mentors with the Veteran team, that Rookie team is not qualified.

NI / Emerson

FLL/FTC/FRC (State-wide)

Supports teams increasing the diversity of FIRST, with economically

disadvantaged students, female teams or underrepresented minority

teams. Teams are co-selected by NI/Emerson Selection Committee.

Gene Haas

FTC / FRC 

Competition grant funding opens when the school year begins mid-September and funding closes when regular competition seasons ends: normally April 1 for FIRST and May 15 for SAE.

FLL/FTC/FRC (Dallas / North)

Supports All Girl teams in the North Region. Teams co-selected by the FIT Director of education and Outreach

Panasonic

FLL/FTC/FRC (McAllen)

Supports teams increasing the diversity of Supports teams in the McAllen Metro area.

Mouser Electronics

FLL/FTC/FRC (Mansfield)

Supports teams located in the Mansfield area. These teams are hand selected by Mouser Electronics, Inc.

Valero

FTC/FRC (San Antonio)

Supports Title I teams in San Antonio. Teams are selected based on their application by Valero.

Qualcomm

FLL/FTC/FRC (Austin Metro / San Antonio Metro)

Support  teams that are located in Austin/Central Texas and meet Qualcomm’s Core values by percentage of team: 1) all or mostly all girl teams; 2) all or primarily racially and ethnically diverse; 3) underserved inner city and rural area teams; and 4) teams with Qualcomm mentor.

Toyota Texas Manufacturing

FLL/FTC/FRC (San Antonio)

Supports teams in the Toyota service area of South San Antonio.

Specifially: Harlandale, Somerset, South San, Southside, Southwest, East Central ISD.

Texas Instruments

FLL/FTC/FRC (Dallas)

Supports teams from Title 1 schools in Dallas County.
