The Presidents Volunteer Service Award

Teams that participate in this program do not need to earn FIRST in Texas / FIRST advancement but must adhere to the documentation and hour requirements to receive a group / team award.

FIRST in Texas Honorees

To qualify for the PVSA, including the Lifetime Achievement Award, a volunteer or group must meet the following criteria of the program.

Be a legal US citizen or lawfully in the US
Be at least 13 years of age
Not be a registered sex offender in any state
Be a member of a team, mentor / coach or a volunteer that is registered as a volunteer for FIRST in Texas
Must be a volunteer in good standing with FIRST in Texas
Does not receive compensation for their volunteer hours. (reimbursements or stipends do not disqualify claiming of volunteer hours.)
Cannot claim volunteer hours as part of a court / criminal requirement.
Must have properly documented hours that can be verified.

Individual Requirements

Team Hour Reporting Requirements:

Each member of a team must qualify for the award above and complete at least 25 hours to qualify for an award for your team. Hours must be recorded by the coach and certified by a school administrator or if the team is a community member, it must be certified by the FIRST in Texas local Program Delivery Coordinator for your program.
