FTC Central Regional Championship Updates

We hope this message finds you well. As many of you may recall, due to inclement weather and potential icy road conditions, the Central Regional Championship scheduled for February 22 had to be canceled. This decision was made with the safety of all participants in mind, and we deeply appreciate your understanding during that challenging time. 

We know the cancellation caused significant disruption, especially for those who had already traveled, as well as the time, effort, and resources that were invested in preparing for the event. We sincerely apologize again for the inconvenience and stress that may have resulted. 

What’s Happened Since: 

We’ve been hard at work rescheduling the event and are grateful to those who participated in the poll to help us determine the best date options. Thanks to your feedback, we have now finalized the new date for the Central Regional Championship, and we are excited to announce that it will take place on March 22 at Wagner High School.  

Looking Ahead: 

We are excited to announce that Dean’s List Finalists will be announced at the upcoming Regional Championship! 

Additionally, the deadline for Compass Award submissions has been extended to March 19! This is a wonderful opportunity to recognize an adult coach or mentor who has provided outstanding guidance and support to your team throughout the season. 

To submit your Compass Award nomination, please follow these steps: 

• Email the Area Coordinator, Matt James 

• Subject Line: “[Team Number]’s Compass Award Submission” 

We encourage you to take this opportunity to honor someone who has made a lasting impact on your team’s journey.
