Top 10 Differences Between Robotics and Sports

PAS square profilePaul Smith of Lead With A Story recently attended his first ever [first] event and had a lot of glowing remarks to share about it. We are happy to share his wonderful post and remind all of you in our community to speak up and share about the great program you have chosen to be a part of.

Paul was particularly proud of the impact robotics has on studies compared to sports, saying “only 0.03% of high school basketball players will go on to make a living at basketball, and 99.97% will not. But 55% of FIRST robotics participants** go on to major in science or engineering in college (double the national average) and therefore are more likely than not to directly earn a living with the skills they develop in robotics.” He has hit on the most important part of access to [first]: every kid has the chance to go pro.
