Kati Duran

Kati Duran is serving as a Texas Mentor for the Central region of FIRST in Texas. Her journey with FIRST began with competing on a FIRST Lego League team for three years, followed by two years on a FIRST Tech Challenge team. Building on this experience, Ms. Duran co-founded and led a new FTC for another four years. Throughout her competitive years, Ms. Duran served as a volunteer in several positions across both programs and actively mentored many FLL and FTC teams. As recognition for her achievements, Ms. Duran was awarded as a Dean’s List Finalist during the 22-23 season.

Ms. Duran’s experience in FIRST inspired her to pursue STEM in higher education, and she is currently studying Biomedical Engineering with a focus in Computational BME at the University of Texas at Austi
