If the answer to these questions is yes, congratulations! [first] in Texas covers tournament fees for Championships, Super-Regionals, and World Championships if your grant included initial qualifying tournament registration coverage.
Important Note:
1) If you are waitlisted and then advance, please let us know. Funds are not guaranteed for waitlisted teams and we will do everything we can to assist.
2) If you advanced directly from a tournament, there is no further action needed on your part to get your championship tournament paid for. We will pay event hosts directly for the granted teams attending their higher-level tournaments. If you are concerned about the letter of commitment, please make sure with your event host that the list of advancing teams was sent to us.
If your team is 9th-12th grade, but has not applied for a grant, please apply as soon as possible. If you advance and are eligible, we will be happy to add you to our list of covered registration fees.
If your team does not need a grant to pay for their registration, please let us know immediately. Because of the high potential for record breaking Texas representation at tournaments like the World Championship, we want to make sure we can distribute our grant funds as quickly as possible to the teams that need it most.
