FIRST Access is back! Registration is now open for the FIRST Access State Event. This is an opportunity for teams from across the state to come together and show off their hard work and accomplishments. If your registered team is interested in competing, you can RSVP for the event HERE! If you haven’t registered yet, but would still like to compete, you can fill out THIS FORM, it only takes a few minutes.
This FIRST® in Texas pilot program aims to make FIRST® robotics programming even more accessible to students with disabilities. The inclusion of students with disabilities on traditional robotics teams is wonderful, encouraged, and frequent; however, FIRST Access programs provide a different and equally important experience. By teaming up with students with the general education population, students with disabilities and special needs can work with peer mentors and partners to help them grow and succeed.
If you are interested in donating your time as a volunteer, this is a wonderful opportunity to do so. This is an opportunity to make a lasting impact on your community and the lives of the next generation of STEM innovators. You can register to volunteer HERE.
If you are interested in spectating, a park ticket is required to enter this event. Park admission is free to those with special needs or disabilities and tickets will be provided for other team and event participants: peer mentors, coaches, volunteers, etc. Reduced price tickets are also available for family and other attendees. There may be some travel grants available, please reach out if you need assistance.
For greater event details, please view the EVENT PAGE on our website. Further information will be released as it becomes available.
We look forward to seeing you all there!
