FTC League Commissioners

What do I need to do?

Work with us to establish the total number of teams you are willing to host in your league. This is typically 12 – 30 teams. We will then list your league along with all the others for teams to select to participate in. You will then organize three qualifying events for your league, locate a venue, recruit volunteers and make sure that your events meet the values of FIRST in Texas for our amazing participants and volunteers.

This is work, but its rewarding work to help grow teams in your league to compete in your area, state and on the world stage.

What does FIRST in Texas help with?

FIRST in Texas will make sure you have the equipment, training and support to execute your events, help you communicate with your teams, collect all fees from teams, and be your support mechanism in resolving any issues. We will also provide a team grant to help your team and/or group supporting your FIRST team. We will provide insurance coverage for your events and work along side you in providing a safe, inclusive and equitable opportunity for all of your teams.

Do I Have to Organization Judging or Advancement?

A short answer is no. FIRST in Texas just needs you to help us with the qualifying events. We will take care of the League Tournaments, Area Championships and State Championship. We would greatly appreciate your support in delivering those events too.
