Events for the 2025–2026 FIRST REBUILT™ FRC Season

FIRST® in Texas has been working hard to make sure teams have the best event experience possible this season. For your convenience, we’ve created a dedicated Events page where you can search and filter all events for the 2026 season.

We’re also updating hotel information daily. If your event’s hotel block isn’t listed yet, please check back regularly. Our goal is to have all hotel details posted by October 31, 2025.

Abilene District Event Cancellation Notice

We wanted to share an important update for the 2025–2026 FIRST Robotics Competition season. Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control, the Week 6 Abilene District Event, originally scheduled for April 9–11, 2026, has been canceled.

After discussion with the FRC Advisory Council, we learned that a major construction project, the “Stargate” Data Center build, will be taking place in Abilene during that time. This project has led to limited hotel availability and high nightly rates averaging over $277 per night, making it difficult for teams to find affordable accommodations.

In place of this event, teams may attend the Dripping Springs District Event at Dripping Springs High School, 940 US-290, Dripping Springs, TX 78620, taking place April 2–4, 2026 (Week 5).

FIRST in Texas has already contacted teams that initially selected Abilene. While we’re truly sorry for this change and any inconvenience it may cause, we’re confident that Dripping Springs will offer a fantastic competition experience. The venue and community are excited to welcome teams from across Texas!

Event Preferencing Updates

• Late Registration for FIRST Events: Teams that missed the first round of event preferencing can now register during the late registration period. To participate, teams must be event ready (no outstanding tasks on their FIRST Dashboard).

• Second Event Preference: Round 2 of event preferencing begins Thursday, October 16, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. ET. Teams must be registered or waitlisted for a first event to preference additional events in Round 2.
