Calling FRC Teams to Join the McAllen District Event

Dear FIRST ® Robotics Competition Community, 

Ever thought about taking your team on a South Texas adventure? Consider competing in McAllen this season!  

FIRST HQ requires all district events to have at least 24 teams, and our Week 2 McAllen District Event on March 12th is currently below that threshold. To meet this requirement, we are looking for teams who are willing and able to add McAllen to their competition schedule.  

How You Can Help:  

1: Switch To McAllen Event 

FRC Program Leaders have been reaching out to teams at other events that might be willing to switch to McAllen for one of their plays. If you are interested in swapping one of your existing events to McAllen, please reach out to Lucia and Juan at [email protected].  

2: Add McAllen as a 3rd Event  

Considering adding a 3rd play to your season calendar? If a team adds McAllen as an additional 3rd event, FIRST in Texas will provide a team grant to cover the additional registration fees. This is a valuable way to support the community while securing additional play at no cost. If your team is interested in this option, please apply by December 5 using the link below. Applications will be reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis.
