The countdown to the moment you’ve all been waiting for is here! In just 6 days, we’ll officially kick off the FIRST in Texas 2025–2026 season with Round 1 of $345,000 in grants ready to support teams and educators statewide!

 

The FIRST in Texas Grant Application goes live September 15. Mark your calendars, bookmark the page, and set your alarms.

Funding for Round 1 will be allocated approximately as follows:

  • $70,000 – FLL

  • $100,000 – FTC

  • $175,000 – FRC

Why Multiple Rounds?

Our sponsors provide funding throughout the year. By spreading awards across three rounds, we can:

  • Award funds early in the season

  • Expand funding opportunities as the season continues

  • Ensure teams that apply later still have an opportunity to be considered

Important Details

Submitting an application does not guarantee funding, but our team is working diligently to support as many teams as possible. We want every team to enjoy the season to the fullest, and we’re working hard behind the scenes to make that happen.

The actual amount awarded to each team will be determined on a case-by-case basis, disclosed privately, and influenced by the number of applicants, total funds raised, and sponsor restrictions.

Save These Dates

These deadlines are your team’s window of opportunity! Each round gives you a chance to be considered for funding, and your ONE application will carry through all three. If your team isn’t funded in Round 1, you’ll automatically remain in the running for Rounds 2 and 3.

Don’t miss the chance to get support this 2025-2026 season!

  • Round 1: Sep 15 – Oct 15

  • Round 2: Nov 1 – Nov 30

  • Round 3: Jan 1 – Jan 31

Timeline for Round 1:

  • Within 2-3 Days of Submission - Teams will get confirmatail of submission from FIRST in Texas

  • October 16 - Confirmation email that round has closed

  • October 22 - Determination email (Chosen, not chosen, need additional info)

  • October 30 - Final Decisions

  • November 30 - Winners will receive money in hand
