Round 1 Team Grants Update

We’re happy to share a positive update on the 2025–2026 Round 1 Team Grants. Our goal has always been to get funding into the hands of Texas teams as quickly as possible, and we’re excited to share that Round 1 awards are officially being distributed.

While our original timeline was to send all award letters by the end of October, we experienced a few minor delays. Rather than waiting any longer, we made the decision to move forward with Round 1 at a slightly reduced level so teams can receive their funds and continue building toward an incredible season.

Round 1 Overview:

• Approximately 135 teams will receive grants totaling about $277,000 across all programs.

  • FLL – 52 grants with a total value of $51,500

  • FTC – 44 grants with a total value of $76,500

  • FRC – 39 grants with a total value of $149,000

• Grants are awarded based on sponsor criteria such as region and program type, with priority given to teams where funding will have the greatest impact on student participation.

• Teams have already started receiving award emails for Round 1 grants. We expect all Round 1 notifications to be sent by the end of this week, including updates for teams not selected in this round.  

• For teams not selected in Round 1, please don’t lose encouragement; you’ll automatically roll into Round 2, with no new application needed.

Looking Ahead:
Round 2 is progressing as planned, and we anticipate increased funding opportunities as more sponsor commitments are finalized. We’re eager to continue supporting even more teams in the next phase of the grant process. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to get these funds distributed as quickly and efficiently as possible.
