Kedrienne Day
Development Director
Kedrienne Day is a seasoned K–12 and higher education fund development professional with more than 16 years of experience in frontline and event fundraising, brand awareness, and relationship building.
A Mississippi native, Kedrienne earned her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from the University of Southern Mississippi. Shortly after graduation, she began what became an eight-year career in corporate sales and marketing with Enterprise Holdings. However, her passion for mission-driven work led her to switch gears and relocate to Houston, Texas, where she launched a career in corporate fundraising with the American Cancer Society.
Drawing on her extensive experience in corporate and foundation relations, Kedrienne has advanced educational access in Houston through roles with Teach For America, the University of St. Thomas–Houston, and the University of Houston–Downtown, as well as through performing arts fundraising with Houston Grand Opera. She also served as a consultant for Mission Advancement, a major gift fundraising consulting firm specializing in nonprofit and school fundraising practices and growth strategies.
Kedrienne is a member of AFP–Houston; a member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo’s Black Heritage Committee and Houston General Go Texan Committee; and a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. She has also served on the boards of Executive Women International–Houston and Sisters Empowering S.I.S.T.A.S
