Heather Sherrill

FIRST Tech Challenge Coordinator

West/Panhandle Region

Heather Sherrill is the Director of the office for STEM Outreach & Engagement for Whitacre College of Engineering at Texas Tech University. Heather received her bachelor and masters degrees from Texas Tech University in Education and Educational Leadership with a Texas Principal Certification. Heather has served the education community as a middle school and high school teacher as well as a mentor teacher and educational specialist at a regional education service center. She is excited for her new role at TTU where she can focus on the STEM needs in West Texas and the Panhandle. Heathers’ office contributes to the needs of the K-12 community through outreach programs such as robotics, drones, hands-on engineering activities, field trips, afterschool clubs, and much more. Her office also provides professional development to area teachers in the areas of The Engineering Design Process, hands-on projects, robotics, etc. Heather is excited to continue the success of FIRST robotics!
