Assistant General Counsel, Lubricants & Specialties
Shawn Preston is an Assistant General Counsel at HF Sinclair and is focused primarily on its Lubricants & Specialties Division. He also provides legal support and guidance to senior management & commercial teams for all of HF Sinclair’s international subsidiaries, covering a wide variety of legal practice areas across multiple jurisdictions.
Shawn has an extensive background as a legal business partner and is an innovative problem solver offering 20+ years of experience and expertise in international business development, cross-functional team leadership, and competitive market positioning for organizations operating across a global landscape. Shawn has been a member of corporate boards in China, the Middle East and Europe. Prior to joining HF Sinclair, Shawn held a number of leadership roles and had spent more than 12 years growing and cultivating the commercial legal team as VP & Assistant General Counsel at Flowserve Corporation.
Shawn enjoys spending time with his family and has coached youth basketball for girls in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. Shawn graduated from Pepperdine University with a Bachelor’s Degree majoring in Political Science and History. He went on to obtain a Juris Doctorate from St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio, Texas.
